What is TrendChart?
TrendChart is a powerful software solution for evaluating large data volumes, such as those generated in control rooms of process engineering plants and stored in databases. TrendChart offers more evaluation functions than conventional control technology and enables in-depth data analysis. It overcomes the capacity limits of external standard software like Excel. With TrendChart, data from various sourcescan be mergedtime-synchronously, immediately visualized, and recalculated using defined mathematical channels. The software provides fast data processing, user-friendly evaluation functions, and is ideal for event searching, averaging, and summation as well as consumption calculations in specific time periods.
This makes TrendChart predestined for:
- Determining emission and immission values in predefined time intervals
- Determining flows and their summation to consumption values
- Determining consumption values based on meter readings
Merging measurement data from different sources

For precise analyses and measurement tasks, it is often necessary to combine data from control rooms and independent measuring devices. With TrendChart, this merging is made simple and efficient. TrendChart allows for the merging of measurement data with:
- time-synchronous merging into a single dataset
- our measurement boxes of type MBI
- MySQL or MS-SQL databases
- data files in JSON or CSV format
- Trendows data files
- optional data sources through our software development
TrendChart vs Excel
TrendChart offers decisive advantages over Excel when it comes to processing and analyzing large data volumes from process engineering plants. While Excel quickly reaches its performance limits with very large datasets and often requires manual data reductions, TrendChart processes this data efficiently and without restrictions. The software allows for data reading that is up to three times faster, including timestamps, and presents this data immediately in clear characteristic curve diagrams. Unlike Excel, TrendChart has been specifically developed for the requirements of the process industry and significantly facilitates in-depth analysis of large data volumes through its user-friendly interface.
Practical evaluation functions

TrendChart simplifies data evaluation by summarizing operational steps. Thus, there is no need to search for data files! The special features of TrendChart are:
- Characteristic curve representation on up to 20 monitor pages
- max. 3 overlapping y/t diagrams per monitor page
- max. 3 Y-axes per y/t diagram
- Status display for marking events
- Value display at the mouse pointer
- Statistical frequency distribution of each characteristic curve retrievable
- Zoom and shift functions
- Data evaluation into a selectable EXCEL workbook or into the clipboard
With TrendChart, you remain flexible: Results can be redefined and recalculated at any time after the measurement is completed. This eliminates the need to define calculations before the measurement. For maximum adaptability, up to 99 calculation channels are available.
